What our clients say
“I can’t say enough positive things about working with Empowered Transitions. Susie and her team flawlessly executed all aspects of two moves. We are impressed by Susie’s knowledge and organizational skills–even more so by her sensitivity and compassion. Susie made a challenging situation much easier. Thank you for your excellent service and especially for your kindness, Susie.”

“Moving in less than six weeks from the house we’d lived in for more than fifty years, and downsizing to smaller quarters halfway across the country, seemed impossible and overwhelming, but Susie Maley came to our rescue. She is an expert on the details of moving. She not only packed us efficiently, but researched to find the best moving company for us, made arrangements for terminating services, and gave us helpful advice about dispersing a lifetime of belongings. Besides being of invaluable service, she was a pleasure to have around.”

“There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the work Susie has done to relocate our elderly parents via an interstate move. She handled all aspects of an extremely complex situation with utmost skill, professionalism, thoroughness, and with a deep understanding of the intensity and fragility of the emotional side of their relocation. She was an enormous support to our entire family and exceeded any expections we had. In fact, because of Susie’s skill and success in handling the family situation in Indianapolis, my husband and I hired her to come to our home in Washington, DC for a week to help us with organizational issues we have. We could not recommend Susie more highly.”
Carolyn M.
“I was extremely pleased with the context of which I was involved with Susie. She performed 3 separate scenarios for our family. Two moves for my son, and one for me disposing my household items from my home of 46 years. Susie helped me review the history of my life and contents of my home as to what to keep for the next phase of life and what to dismantle and properly dispose. I highly recommend Susie and look forward to working with her in the future should I decide to move from my condominium.”

It’s difficult to write a testimonial about Susie Maley because she has so many great qualities that it’s hard to decide what to say first. What’s easy to describe is how skilled she is at her job. My parents, who are 93 and 87, had been living in their house almost 40 years and needed to move to an assisted living facility. Neither I nor my siblings live in the area, so we relied on Susie for everything. And I’m so glad we did – she did a better job than we ever could have done getting my parents packed up and coordinating their move. She worked with the assisted living facility to figure out and pack exactly what furniture, clothing and supplies they would need (and could fit in their new apartment). After the move, she got the house cleaned up and ready to sell and coordinated with the realtor. The entire process, from start to finish, was easier than I ever imagined it could be. What’s harder to put into words is what a fantastic human being she is. The only word that comes to mind is “angel.” Susie treated us with extreme kindness and respect. She paid attention to every last detail, and she was incredibly careful to do everything (even seemingly very small things) in exactly the way my parents wanted. And she demonstrated with her actions that her integrity is beyond question. I’m so grateful that we found her.
